Services

We provide Speech Pathology and Therapeutic Horticulture services to people experiencing:

Aphasia

Aphasia happens when the part of the brain that controls language is impacted after conditions like stroke or brain injury. This can affect how you understand and use language, including listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

Apraxia of Speech (AOS)

A motor-speech condition that makes it hard to say words correctly, although you know what you want to say. Words may come out differently each time you try to speak, or feel stuck, or it can take a lot of effort to get the sounds right.

Dysarthria

Dysarthria is a motor-speech disorder that changes the way muscles we use for speaking work together. It can affect how your voice sounds, the clarity of your speech, and rhythm of your spoken sentences.

Dysphagia

Changes and difficulties with the safety, efficiency, and muscle function for chewing, drinking, eating, and swallowing. This often occurs after stroke, brain injury, or as part of progressive neurological disorders.

Cognitive Communication

Cognitive communication changes to the way we think, understand, remember, organise, and use language after brain injury.

Neurodiversity Affirming Support

Support for people who have come into a diagnosis of neurodivergence in adulthood to learn about self-advocacy, accessing supports, understanding your neurotype, and social communication styles.
